Mother's Day Gifts

Mother's Day is early this year, I've been struggling to keep up with orders whilst trying to update my Mother's Day pieces. Anyway, now I've got a quiet Sunday I've decided to get on with it!

New Mum Bracelet Design

I've been holding this back for a while, it's an updated version of the 'Mum' bracelet I feature last year. The heart charm can be hand stamped with any word (max. 4 letters) and it can be personalised with up to 8 birthstone crystals to represent children's birthdays.

Personalised Birthstone Necklaces

These heart necklaces are also hand stamped, and can be personalised with any variation of 'Mum' 'Mummy' or 'Grandma' for example. The birthstones can represent their birthday, or again the birthdays of children or grandchildren. The choice is yours!

  

Mother Daughter Jewellery

These pieces were one of my best selling designs last year, Mother Daughter bird pendants which are sweet on their own, or can be personalised with initials and beads or birthstones.

  

Family Tree Necklace

An old favourite of mine! A Mother Bird charm hanging on a tree branch, and her little baby birds sitting alongside her! This is such a cute necklace and can be personalised with different number of baby birds.

Gifts for Mums to Be

Not forgetting those about to be come mothers! These pieces are designed as pregnancy or baby shower gifts, featuring baby themed trinkets and charms.

Best Sellers of 2015

I've been busy planning for 2016, and I decided to do a bit of analysis on my best sellers of last year.

I had a few surprises, it's funny how I've been sitting making jewellery all year, not realising which pieces I'm making the most of!

Here's the top 5 of 2015:

Number 5 - Snowflake Jewellery

These have been a best seller for two years in a row now, originally inspired by the movie Frozen. They are also popular as Winter wedding jewellery for Bridesmaids and Flower girls.

  

Number 4 - Mother Daughter

As Mother's Day is just around the corner, I will be soon relaunching my Mother Daughter range on my website, it's currently only available on Etsy. This was probably my biggest surprise, I had no idea I had made so many of these sets! Mainly featuring mother and baby bird charms my Mother Daughter Jewellery can be personalised with initials, beads and birthstones.

  

Number 3 - Sister Jewellery

I made my first Sister Necklace for my own sister as a Christmas present a few years ago, I had a few leftover and tried them out on Etsy... and the rest is history!

  

Number 2 - Bridesmaid & Flower Girl

My Bridesmaid Jewellery was the beginning of what FunkyPinks is today, thanks to a few custom requests for bridesmaid jewellery a few years ago. Since then I've expanded my range in this category, an I love putting together new pieces for themed weddings!

Number 1 - Birthday Jewellery

This surprised me, as I expected my wedding jewellery to be number one, but my Birthday Jewellery has one by a clear mile!

I love my birthday and birthstone charms, and the hand stamped pieces are particularly popular. These designs can be combined and personalised in any way, and customised to any birthday age.

  

I also have set birthday charms that can be personalised with coloured beads and different shaped charms, which are also very popular!

Mother's Day Jewellery Madness!

I was caught off guard this year, it feels like Mother's Day has come around much earlier than last year! 

Like most small business I like to jump on the bandwagon and so I designed a few new pieces to honour the Mums, Nans and Grans in the UK.

I've wanted to try bangle charm bracelets, and Mother's Day was the perfect opportunity for me to try them out! (I love these gorgeous Mum charms too) Coupled with birthstones that can either represent your mother's birthday, or the birthday's of children/siblings.

(You might spot a new flower charm, these will be used for my new season flower girl jewellery coming soon!)

I've also tried our some Mother Daughter bracelets, with birthstones and initials. I'm not sure if they're here to stay forever, I'm still trying them out. I might try some birthday or wedding designs to see how they do!

Birds have been a favourite of mine since I started FunkyPinks, and I wanted to expand on my 'birdie' range. I love the idea of jewellery that can be added to and personalised, and the baby birdies are soooo cute!

I'm very excited about these bracelets! I've been putting off hand-stamping words and messages until I was fully confident in my skills! So I thought I'd start out gently with these small heart charms, they can only fit 4 letter comfortably so it's not too much of a stretch for me ;)
